Education and Training Centre for physically challenged and able children and young people in Amokwe, Nigeria
In Nigeria persons with a special need for support are for the most part excluded from general social life in the society, and doomed to an inhuman existence. Children with a special physical need for support are almost always denied a formal education. Because they most often cannot contribute to the economic welfare of their families, they are considered and treated as a burden. Mothers bear the main responsibility for the care of their children with a special physical need for support, and they have virtually no outside help or support.
Amokwe Nigeria Association set itself the goal of financially supporting the establishment and maintenance of a Centre for the education and training of both children and young people with a special physical need for support and those without a special need for support in Amokwe.
